Hi there,

I have 2 lefty USA Strats, a "normal" sunburst, but I also have a Charcoal Frost one.

I haven't seen one jet as a lefty,do i have something special or are there milions more ??

The former owner told me he had it made in the Customshop, but as far as i can see it is a normal Standard strat (1999).

Thanks for your reply.(Someone from Fender listening???)

Best regards,

Erwin

It doesn;t seem possible to post some piccies, but it resembles the color on the little picture under my name albeit somewhat darker.....

The color is normal in the righties Strats, but not in the lefties..

The srnr is N 994242.

Thanks for your replys.....

Hey Erwin...I have a 99 Am. Std. Lefty, that I had a local Fender dealer order for me that year. I know the only colors Fender offered that year in leftys were sunburst, white, black and purple metalic. I checked my 1999 Frontline, and they offered Inca Silver, but only in right handed models. So it probably was CustomShop made. Does the neckplate say Corona Ca.?

Thanks for the info Nedeye!!!

My guitar has no Customshop markings whatsoever.

It has the neckplate with the Fender logo, whole name, not the F only.

The srnr begins with N,not with C or CU or something.

Does your guitar have the TBX control on the neck tone pot???

Thanks again and Rock On !!

No, mine has standard tone pots, nothing fancy. Yours sounds to me like it was maybe some kind of special run or something. When we were ordering mine. I looked in the dealers catalog for my options and I know nothing like that was offered( at least not in the U.S.). If it was, I definitely would have considered it (especially in the color you have). I'll post some pics of mine for you to compare, but maybe it would be best to follow Chet's advice and get in touch with customer relations. Good Luck!

WOW very nice guitar that is........

You have a different headstock logo as well....

Mine has the older logo with the srnr on front of the headstock, just like the early ninties Strats. On the neckplate mine has only the Fender logo.

AND this guitar has the TBX tonecontrol.

Thanks for the info and I shall try to contact Fender for more info.

Btw,I am just currious, I wil NEVER sell it..........

Greetings, Erwin
