I bought fender arm springs P/N 0994931000 but I think I chose wrong one. I wanted to change the small bridge springs we can easily see, but according to the instruction, the springs should be used in the tremolo hole.

My Questions are

1) what is tremolo hole ?

2) where can I purchase the small bridge springs ?
we can directly see the springs in the above view of tremolo bridge.

Thanks,

Andy.

The tremolo hole is where your tremolo arm (whamy Bar) screws in,,,those springs keep it snug,,free from wobble,in theory. I think you mite be looking for saddle intonation springs. The middle #2 pic BSS sent.

If you are talking about the spring behind the saddle, I believe the correct name for it is an "intonation spring". Any registered Fender dealer can order those springs as replacement parts, if they don't have them in stock.

I notice that some (perhaps all?) Stratocasters actually have two different sized intonation springs, no doubt to allow for the different distances the saddles are from the back of the plate. If you are in doubt, find your guitar on this page:

http://www.fender.com/support/wiring_di ... _lists.php

The third column across is the parts list for each guitar: you will find your springs and their catalogue numbers there. Take that/those number/s to your Fender dealer and order the springs.

Or search Google. Many suppliers of genuine Fender parts out there...

Cheers - C

Wow, neither of my strats had that spring in there...
Good idea though, I just used teflon tape on the threads.
