Sunday: how many Blackmore fans are there out there?

I seem to remember another version of the Blackmore strat that had a Roland synth pickup ... anyone know about other versions from over the years?

I remember the Bonnnie Rait Guitar as having a more delicate neck and I believe Fender had young women in mind as the target market. You are correct that there was no attempt to create a duplicate of her perfomance instrument....perhaps because she did not want that.

I doubt most young women in the target market would want, much less pay top dollar for her's or any other guitar with the 'relic' look either.
