I have a strat and at a gig it completely cut out. It came back on but the overall tone of my guitar is real tinny and the tone knobs cut the volume. I tried a different amp and cables and still have the same problem. I also tried it with and without pedals and the problem persists. I feel like the issue is the input jack but wanted to check here before I replace the jack. Any help is appreciated.

The output jack *may* be problematic and is certainly worth checking. More likely though, you have a marginal solder joint (likely a ground wire) somewhere within the wiring harness. Inspect them all and reheat/reflow as necessary. Don't forget to take a look at the ground wire running to the trem claw as well. A third possibility may be the volume control pot itself. Replace as needed.
