Alas its not sturdy and offers no strength to the area. Just visualy nicer. I'm going to try Martians extra screw for 3bolt necks idea to help stabilize it a bit.

O.O its a 4bolt neck that lost stability due to the gap around the pocket. Do you think i'd be better off doweling and redrilling the holes rather than just adding another cupped screw under the plate?

Is there noticeable play, in the existing holes? if is doesn't easilly move around, I would just do Matian's trick. if it does slide, then I would probably do the dowels, and redrill. (But still add the extra one.)

WOW NIK,IF NOT FOR THE HEAD STOCK I WOULD OF HAD TO LOOK IN THE CASE TO SEE IF MY CLAPTON OLYMPIC WHITE WAS JACKED,THAT CAME OUT GREAT
