Hello folks,

I was looking to get some input on what kind of a bridge would fit a 1997 fender Strat (American made I think) body without mods. Any advise or preference you all might have would be greatly appreciated. I play a mix of country rock and rockabilly.

Here is the body info:

Thanks folks!

You talk bout modern or vintage style bridge ? Or a brand ?

The body have holes for vintage bridge and would be easier to put a vintage one.

Like st52 wrote, it's best (= least amount of extra hassle) to use a vintage (six screw) bridge. Measure the string spacing (center to center of the outmost bridge screw holes), then you can choose the correct bridge (2 7/32" or 2 1/16").
That should also tell if that's a MIA or a MIM body.

As it stands, if not the original, a Callaham VN or SuperVee Bladerunner should drop straight in. I say 'should' as I recently found a Callaham didn't fit an AmSpecial. Well, it fitted but didn't have hardly any travel. With these 2 trems I'm assuming your Strat has 2 1/16" spacing. If vintage, though, Callaham does that spacing as well; SuperVee doesn't.

I'd stick with the original...!

Cheers - Peter.
