I have a 1954-2004 Anniversary Strat that I adore. Long story short...the trussrod is maxed out and can no longer be tightened to straighten the bow out. A luthier told me it's perhaps due to the trussrod being put in by Fender before the neck was properly dried??? Anyway, I need a proof of purchase for Fender to replace it and I don't have it. So... I'm considering a neck swap and going with a rosewood neck to change things up (I have two other maple necks anyway). My question: would a Fender American Highway 1 FSR Strat neck be compatible with my Anniversary Model?

FYI

Most 2004 MIA Fender Standard and Deluxe guitars have a 50th Anniversary neck plate which leads a lot of people to think they are the actual 50th Anniversary model when they actually are not.
Not sure if that applies to you or not since you have not included pics in your post.

There should be a label in the case that looks like this:

The neck plate should look like this:

and it will be a two colour burst like in the pic above.
If it's not that colour with gold hardware, it's not a real 50th but is simply a regular 2004 MIA model since the regular production models of that year will also bear a 50th Anniversary neck plate logo.
The serial number will also provide valuable info.

All of that aside, a Highway One Strat should have the same neck pocket as any 2004 MIA Standard or Deluxe Strat and therefore the neck should be a direct fit.
That said, you probably don't want to swap the neck if you have a real 50th Anniversary Strat as it will detract from the resale value.
In that event, you'd want to have the original neck repaired so it functions as normal.

I find it doubtful a real 2004 50th would have a neck that was not properly cured before the truss rod was installed.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.
