Aside a desire to be ironic I can't really see why anybody would go to the trouble.

I was going to say you wouldn't put a Ford badge on a Porsche, but I know a guy who did exactly that on an early Cayenne. He used the Cayenne to tow a race car on a trailer and got nothing but grief in the paddock for having a Porsche; so he changed the badges.

It could perhaps disguise a valuable guitar and make it less nickable ... but changing the badge would also devalue the guitar in the process.

Integrity was discontinued at the same time that businesses ceased sales of honesty, discipline, dignity and self-respect. You can't buy it for love or money now.
