So, if you have a Mexican made Standard Strat made in 2001, your neck will have a 9.5" radius fingerboard and vintage style fret wire, as in not the fatter or taller medium jumbo wire. I've been playing guitar and working on them for longer than most of you are old. I currently own a 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, an early 2005, and a 2008 Fender Mexican made Standard Strat (some SSS and some HSS) and according to my radius gauges, they are ALL 9.5" radius. Because the 2005 is an early one, and the fret wire size didn't change until mid year, it has vintage width and height fret wire on it. The 2008 has medium jumbos on it. If it's another series, then there might be differences in radius or fret wire. For example, the Classic Series 60's Strats are made in Mexico but have 7.25" radius boards and vintage size fret wire. My above comments were only about a MIM Standard Strat.

Then you should've specified as such instead of generalizing.

Of course. You're as well-informed as he is.
