I really hate to bother people with another "is this a fake" thread but numerous people pointed me to this forum for the best advice. I've been after one of these for a while now and just waiting for a decent priced one to come along and i have saw this one on ebay which is close to me and was going to go ahead with it but there are a few things that are putting me off (stupid as they may be).
1. the fact it comes with a black generic case as opposed to the tweed one it normally comes with.
2. There's no pictures of the serial number which i find odd, i cant see the one on the tag properly.
3. i accidentally came across fake fender candy tags on ebay and i didnt even know these were a thing now so all these issues are making me nervous of going through with it.

I know these may be stupid reasons but they just keep standing out to me. I'm not even sure if these are normally faked a lot but i suppose anyone will fake where there is a lot of money involved. so can anyone offer me some advice?

thanks in advance

Hard to say since there are very few detailed pics but nothing stands out as odd other than what you have mentioned.
It appears to have a hang tag serial starting with SZ2 which is a good sign so long as it matches the one on the headstock.
Ask the seller for clearer pics of headstock back and hang tag.
Ebay offer a money back guarantee but there are hoops to jump thru if things turn sour. :D

Looks ok to me. And truth be told, I don't blame the seller for not displaying the serial numbers. If it's that much of a problem go and see the guitar in person. Something I'd be doing anyway for something costing £900
