Hi,

I bought a Stratocaster at a Mom & Pop shop in the early 80s. Apparently it is from the 60's but I would love to have more information about it (exact year etc.). Everything is original and it is in pristine condition.

Best,

Marcus

Wouldn't the bullet truss rod and two string trees suggest 71-81? How many screws are there in the neck plate?

Likely a mid-to-late '70s example.

And someone needs to figure out how to use split-post tuners when re-stringing.

Yep, if that is a serial number on the headstock, under Fender, it could be no earlier than '76, when the serial number first appeared on the headstock. A closeup shot of the serial number would be helpful.
