Thank you. It is a pretty special guitar, a few MiA bits where they matter and CS PUP's. It was an FSR and the neck is really nicely finished for a MiM.

It could be close to my favourite if it wasn't so damn heavy.

I'm using a stock mint plate and antique white. Works on my axe; but, this new look of yours just looks great, John. The strong contrast and touch of vintage appeal with the knobs draws your eye to the body finish. IMHO. Nice.

Thanks for your comments.

I liked the mint better than the black and aged white the guitar had originally but the green tint was very noticeable in contrast to the cream of the body. The mint guard on my sunburst 62 Roadworn looks almost white because there isn't that comparison and, as a result that looks really good.

It is quite interesting reading the specs of the current Pro Series as some colours have mint with aged white and some parchment and aged white. Previously there seemed to be a number of models with parchment and parchment but that doesn't seem to be the case in the current models.

I know it's not everyone's cup of tea but I think your new color combination would look swell with gold hardware......

I voted mint/ant only because I don't want to change mine just yet, but I get that queasy green tint feeling from time to time.
Your curly is a hard match for sure, but looks good to me.
I've always had the feeling that its not so much the color of the scratch plate as it is the color of the fret markers that throws the look off balance. Matched or unmatched parts.

Damn, you are right. That sneaked up without me expecting it.

Unless I can find a reasonable doner guitar, a full swap is going to be quite pricey. That wouldn't necessarily be an issue if I was convinced it was a keeper but I have other Strats that I want.
