Hey, i am looking to buy a new fender. (again)... My only problem is I'm not sure which model to get. it has to be under 1000 unfortunately. I prefer a flatter radius fretboard but it doesnt matter that much. i also prefer something with tremolo, but again, it's no big deal. any pickup is fine and i prefer slimmer necks but i open to new shapes. I play classic rock and blues and some metal and shred. which do you guys think is a good model for me.

i want a guitar that is versatile and can be my go to guitar for all playing styles

The Deluxe Player's Strat has a 12" radius neck, is well under a thousand, and has VN pups which IMO are good for rock and blues, but metal not so much. Though they will take alot of gain without humming like a buzz saw. There are a few MIM Deluxe Strats that have HSS pup configuration which would work better for metal, again all under 1K.

When you say you'd like it to have a tremolo, do you mean a standard Strat trem? Or a Floyd Rose type? I think there are only a couple of Strat models that are hard tail, so you don't really need to worry about that option, unless of course you need a Floyd. HTH
