Do 2 point tremolos get in the way of your rested hand and get to be a nuisance?

? Why do you think they are any different to a vintage trem in that respect?

Because it sits up higher than the non-2 point tremolos.

That makes absolutely perfect sense.

Unless you adjust your 6-screw bridge to sit up higher and your 2-point to sit lower.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Indeed so. Sounds like an attack of poorly set up bridge syndrome. Perhaps some pictures would help?

I've never seen a 2 point system up close. And what's with all the flaming?

Does this look like it gets in the way?

Both tremolo use the same guitar, fit on same body.
String action is the same.

How come it sits higher ?

Now I'm wondering if Mexican strat tuners get in the way of strings more than American Standard strat tuners? Don't get me started on locking tuners! :|

I prefered the two post trem with block saddles because it was flat to rest the heel of my palm on. I played a friends Strat with vintage saddles and hated it because they caught the back edge of my hand. It transpired it had been badly set up with same length saddle post screws.

I have subsequently bought Strats with (properly set up) vintage saddles and no longer find the palm resting an issue. Perhaps I've changed my playing style. I'm even considering swapping off a block saddle two post back to the two post vintage saddle trem it came with as I'm inclined to think the vintage saddles sound better. That will be after I have replaced the shocking alloy trem block for a steel one.

IMHO the vintage look cooler but the block sound better, but does it really matter? :)
