I'm also glad that Pete is getting the tribute treatment for a guitar he's played longer than any other in his career. I'm not a Lace Sensor fan - I'm more in the 'Leo made 'em right the first time' camp. But I do like the addition of the piezo bridge. Fender had this feature on the Deluxe Power Strat - one of which I have and love. It's a well made Mexi-Strat and they use the bottom tone knob as the piezo volume control - very stealth. The only improvement I would have liked is a stereo out jack that would allow for sending the piezo to an acoustic amp. I'm sure that can be wired up - I just haven't gotten the 'round tuit.

That what I am talking about very stealth, still can't wrap my head around the knob that seems out of place to me, but of course, my disclaimer, " this is my opinion and it has been said beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
By the way here is one

I see what you are saying but I rather like the whole "Function over form" approach. It's there to do a job and that's the best place for it to do what it needs to do.

I really like old racing cars as they had a similar approach; riveting on bits to see if they work or removing bits that didn't contribute to the package.

There are times when design for design sake can compromise getting on and doing the job.
