There were a few different models for the 60th Anniversary of Fender - which was in 2006 - there was a USA model and there was an MIM model. Plus just about every Fender model made that year had a 60th Anniversary medallion on the back of the headstock, so photos would be helpful.

Also since it was in 2006 it would be 10 years old, not 16 years old. Did someone sell you a 2000/2001 as a 60th Anniversary?

I thought 50th anniversary guitars are from 2004 and 60th anniversary are 2014!

I also have one of these. I contacted consumer relations a couple of years back and asked about production quantity. I don't remember the exact number but it was between 1970 and 2000 guitars. I have seen mint examples for between 800-1000 bucks so don't look at making a profit anytime soon. I paid a grand for mine in 2010.

Those were the anniversary years for the Stratocaster, which was introduced in 1954. The OP is talking about the anniversary years for Fender - which was founded in 1946. This year is the 70th anniversary of the company, but they don't appear to be doing an anniversary edition this year. They are doing the 7 different limited edition models they are calling the "Magnificent Seven".

+1
There are so many Fender "special run" guitars over the years, more than the need to make profit in a collector market.
