Bring back the mini Floyd Rose system and rename it American Elite Locking Tremolo Assembly. Optional offer for the Elite Shawbucker Strat HSS - featuring the all-shortpost locking tuners and an LSR Roller Nut.

I'd like to see them reintroduce the Fender System III locking tremolo. Quick tool-less string release at the nut, and a hard tail bridge by rotating the tremolo arm to the locked position. Remove the tremolo arm, unscrew it's chrome tip and you have every tool you need to set up the guitar; adjust the nut, saddles and balance the lock/floating tuning.

The best locking tremolo system I've ever seen by a long way.

I don't understand the details of your proposal, I remember the Sambora strat for a FR strat... but I doubt the elite strat needs a floyd rose... I am am going van halen all day and it doesn't lose its tune a bit... almost getting on my nerves...

He's talking about the single-locking tremolo without fine tuners that Fender used to offer. It was originally called the "Fender/Floyd Rose" tremolo when it was introduced back in 1993; Fender dropped it in 2007. It was found on Strat Plus Deluxe and Strat Ultra models from 1993-1997, then was an option on the HSS Amercian Deluxe Strats from 1998 until it was discontinued.

Here's what he is talking about:

Thanks. There are a lot of us here who could at least write part of the history of Fender. I'm just happy to contribute where I can. It's also the "perk" of having been around as long as I have - you've seen a lot and hopefully can still remember it. :lol:

@John C

Certain Custom Shop guitars (such as the carved-top Showmaster) were shipped with that mini Floyd Rose system.

Hi sorry but I didn't mean anything like your preferences for anything are getting on my nerves, that is absolute misunderstanding. But anyhow, I am here to get info too and it happens I have a little bit of it myself sometimes and I share for whatever it is worth. I didn't mean to impose my ideas on anyone, I don't have very strong ones on this subject anyway. Good day..
