I saw this Tele and wonder if the folks at FMIC had plans to release a matching Strat to pair this limited-edition guitar.

Nope - the Tele is one of Fender's "Magnificent Seven" series for this year. Maybe they would include one in next year's series.

So far we've seen three of the seven:

1. March: American Elite Strat with a figured maple top.
2. April: American Standard Tele with a figured maple neck/ash body.
3. May: American Standard Tele with matching headstock (white, ice blue metallic, and the sea foam green)

Still to come are:

4. June: American Standard P-Bass model with an added Jazz Bass pickup
5. July: American Offset Tele - offset body, American Standard Tele neck, pickups, but a vintage Tele bridge
6. September: American Select Light Ash Tele - ash, white blonde, gold hardware, shell pickguard, under 7 lbs.
7. October: American Special Jazzmaster with a Bigsby

Looks like they are taking August off for these.

Very smart of them.
Creating a whole bunch of very short term, limited run guitars.
Drive all those collector nutz who gotta have one of everything freakin' batty.
Kudos, FMIC!!

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

The Offset Telecaster is also known as the Telemaster.

They did an American Standard Telemaster yesteryear!

They aren't calling it "Telemaster" this time around - I think they let one of their USA dealers use that name exclusively for a Custom Shop version so this one will be called the "American Standard Offset Telecaster" - which doesn't exactly roll off the tongue.

Also that "American Standard Telemaster" from a couple of years ago wasn't available in the USA; I believe it was only available in the EU (or maybe the just not in North America).

To make the current offset Tele different than the 2015 edition the only changes would be a Mini Duckbucker in the neck position in place of a Twisted single coil to fatten up things a bit and a few custom colours such as Sky Blue and Sunset Metallic Bursts.
