NSD...New Stratocaster Day!

Yes G.A.S got me today and I just had to have this beauty below. I am really digging the V neck, the quack out these pickups, and of course the Sea Foam Green finish which is flawless! I spent the early evening doing a set up (I don't use the wang bar) so I added the two extra springs, tightened down the bridge, cutting a block for it, and resetting the intonation. It plays like butter (my flavor of it anyway) and my G.A.S has been satiated for the foreseeable future!

And as I know the rules, here are a couple pics...

My photos don't do this color justice.

Fantastic! I love seafoam & surf greens!

What model is it? I don't think we currently have that colour in England, except CS...

Cheers - Peter.

Very nice acquisition indeed!

On getting better shots of the gear, I recommend using a tripod and either a time delayed shutter or a remotely actuated shutter. Take one shot with flash on and one shot with flash off.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Check out what that Super Reverb started out as...I did a refurb post over on the vintage amp (Saving a Basket Case '69 Super Reverb).

I played the Strat tonight for an hour and that amp and guitar was tuneful to say the least!

A beauty! I noticed it's a MIM by the first picture cause of belly cut contours...
Great color and bet it sounds great!

Congrats!
That's a gorgeous guitar, and paired with your Rescue Reverb amp, makes for a delicious rig... 8)
