Did some guitar trading yesterday and acquired this 2012 AVRI 57 Limited Edition. Love the candy apple color. The guitar is mint and not even a polish swirl mark. Not bad for a four year old nitro finished guitar. Came with original case and all case candy. Was worried about the 7.25 radius as I have never played or owned one. Well the worries are no more. It plays great and the 7.25 radius and V neck is not bothersome to me at all and I actually like it. I also have no problem with bends or fretting out which leads to my next question. I set it up but this is my first time setting up a 7.25. I have little relief and ended up at .006 and I do prefer a little neck relief vs none. My action follows the radius of the neck and I have 5/64 measured across all strings at the 12th fret. Again bending is nice and no buzzing or fretting out at all. Also each saddle is straight and not tilted. If I am off on anything please let me know? Took a little while setting up the 57/62 pickups but did find that sweet spot. Anyway very happy with the guitar.

If the instrument is comfortable to play and there is no choking out when bending strings, then your set-up is likely optimized for the 7.25" radius and the specific string gauge.

Gorgeous guitar!

Unless you traded a pound of solid gold for it, I'd say you did good! Nothing like a great Strat!

You got one very nice guitar in that trade. Enjoy!

Saddles should follow neck radius. Some strings could be too close or to far from the fretboard.
A relief of .006 is too straight.

This not the standard.
All of this is a matter of taste and how you strung .

Bend are more difficult on 7,25 radius than 9,5 , set up mus be at the best for your playing

i personally keep each individual saddle dead level to the bridge, while adjusting the heights to follow the neck radius. the strings will follow the radius with the saddles either level or tilted, because the strings are round and narrow. iow, if on a hypothetically very oversized neck, the strings were say flat 1/4" wide ribbons, you'd see and feel the staggered staircase effect at the fretboard. but in our cases the appearance and feel at the fretboard will be precisely identical with level or angled saddles.
i would also expect the pressure of the height screws on the bridge would be uneven with angled saddles, which in theory could effect sustain or tone.
thats my 2 cents in favor of leaving saddles level. but to each their own.
