I asked about the pure vintage '65 line and he agreed they would fit the bill. A little more research and I found the middle p/u is not reverse wound so that one is out. Looks like my list is getting shorter.

I had the gut feeling, so I checked via Fender's fantastic chat service a minute ago: the set in the Classic Series MIM's (those #0054172000 pickups) also has a normal (= vintage style = non-RWRP) middle pickup. AFAIK, the 57/62 set is the same.
Historically, early Strats came with three "identical" pickups. (Quotation marks because there probably were bigger randomish variations than today)

And then the question for aficionados: when did Fender put the first RWRP's in a Stratocaster? :lol:

I tried again with Fender chat and Chase was able to identify the following part numbers;

0054172002 Bridge
0054172001 Middle
0054172000 Neck

They are only referred to as Mexico made vintage Alnico 5 vintage voiced pickups. No direct aftermarket replacement, so I will see if I can find some factory "replacements" on the old interweb. They are also use a .1uf 200v capacitor.

As far as I recall, the American Standard pups (used prior to the Fat 50's) are in that output range your looking for also. Fender site no longer lists them as available, but they should be on Ebay and other sites.
They have probably been re-introduced in the MIM guitar series in question as a special production since the primary difference between US and MIM pups is usually the magnet type/structure.
Just another option if your buying used. Some sets have a hotter bridge, about 7.25 vs just under 6 for the N/M.

Sometime in the early 1980s, and probably at Eric Johnson's request
