Does anybody know a way to make a modern Strat bridge plate flat and true? I don't want to grind it flat. Finding a newer Strat with a true, flat bridge plate seems rare. If you take it off the guitar and set it on a flat surface, it rocks like a Windsor rocking chair. It makes doing a setup a pain in the you know what...

I'm thinking about it...I don't have a good backing surface, and it may mess up the chrome job, but it is an option, thank you! I'm thinking of heating it up with a BFSI and vise it up!

While a BFH can do the job ...
(if that means what I think it means and I won't even hazard a guess as to the meaning of BFSI) ...
the tool that comes to my mind as a more efficient and less damaging method is a hydraulic press.
In a pinch a small bottle-jack can be made to work with the right sort of surface to jack against.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.
