Hi guys

Im desperate to know if anyone has ever mounted a dimarzio area set on a 62 without routing before. Im stuck with online shopping so this is very important to me. The last set i bought online ( fender HN ) did not fit. Also if area's wont fit what is the other pup options for a drop in installation ?

Thank you in advance

I've installed several DiMarzio Area series pickups in several vintage-spec Strat bodies with absolutely no issues whatsoever. This includes Mexican, Japanese, and American instruments.

Hi arjay. Thank you for your reply. Mine is american. By comparing the dimensions it seems that dimarzio area's would stand at least 3 mm higher than the stock 57/62 pups and considering the hight sensitive nature of dimarzio's have you ever experienced any difficulty setting up hight's to your liking? Also dimarzio website says that there is a lefthanded version for area's , is there any real notable difference or it's just another marketing bs?

Thanks

DiMarzio's Area pickups feature staggered pole pieces (just as many Fender-branded pickups) so I'd assume that any southpaw DM's would be a reverse-stagger to accommodate lefty players.
