I've got a 2006 Classic 60s mim strat in sunburst with Klein epic 59 pick-ups. It plays and sounds so much like the 59 strat I played back in the day. I don't intend to ever get rid of this one.

I have had an FSR Ash Blonde for a couple of years. Earlier this week I just bought a Surf Green Pearl Player Series. Both are great guitars. However, I noticed the fret ends on the Player strat were not dressed very well at all. It's not a huge job to dress them up but it's a great pity. Has anyone else noticed this? Is it just QA/QC inconsistency, or the whole are all the strats in the series like this?

This is my first post on this forum. Luckily, this subject is one I am familiar with.

After years of not playing, I decided last winter to get back to it. Picked up a MiM Surf Green Classic '50s model of 2001 vintage in February. It was a real fixer-upper, but I've got the time (and the money, for a change).

Shortly after, life threw me a nasty curve-ball in the form of needing back surgery, so what would have taken days has taken weeks... a little at a time. A shim and some truss-rod adjustment got the neck more playable - it's still a work in progress. Right now, with callouses and muscle-tone gone, I need the action as "easy" as possible.

A set of Duncan SSL-5's went in, and some custom wiring (two switches and a baseplate for the bridge pickup) was done. Then I trimmed it out with vintage-looking parts.

She sounds real sweet, but boy can she bark!

What about going to a mint-green pickguard? I think that would really complete the look. Nice guitar, by the way. I really like where you are going with it!

Damn! That looks superb. I'm not generally a lover of Tortoise (other than on a tortoise) but that looks really special.

Hello everyone, very nice to be here. So, I'm thinking to buy a MIM stratocaster and I found one, but I am not sure about specs, because I can't find enything about it, and the guy selling the guitar is pretty far away so I'm not sure if it's a trip I'm worth having. The thing I am most interested in is neck radius. I'm guessing it's 9.5, but would really like a 7,25" neck. Strat is 2013 MIM serial number MX13340724. Can someone help. Tnx ;-)
