I have several. A 2002 HSS, a 2003 SSS, a 2004 SSS, and a 2007 70's Reissue. I love them! They are workhorses for me. I have wanted an American strat, but everytime I check one out, I still like the feel of my mexican ones better. You can't beat them dollar for dollar, bang for the buck--they are great!

I'm expecting my new Lone Star strat to show up on Tuesday. That will be my first MIM strat. I have an Am. strat that is a cool shoreline gold with an anaconda hide pickguard, but it's an sss and I'm looking forward to this HSS with the Seymour Duncan pickups.

I'm looking forward to this being an awesome guitar thru my Peavey Delta Blues amp. Anyone else have one of these that wants to comment?

Finally got that image uploaded.

Got a new 2012/13 Mexican standard strat in candy apple red and a maple finger board. Beautiful guitar! Plays like a dream!!
First guitar I've had that has all single coils so that took a bit of getting used to. Leaving the tone from the neck position the most.

Just got my first fender for a killer deal. 2008 midnight wine for 150! guy just didnt play it anymore, not a mark on it, still has the factory fender bullet strings. my only issuse is the setup was kinda mediocre from the factory and the nut seems to be causing a twang on the G and B. not bad but not cool for a $400 plus guitar. looking at the string saddles makes me worried too. thats a crazy angle the strings are forced to make. is that a common problem with the MIM's? stills beats the pants of my squire tho!

That is a very sweet deal indeed....congratulations. Can you post a picture of the bridge so we can see what's going on with it? Seems that all your guitar needs it a little TLC and it'll play just fine.

I like the looks of that brown shell guard on all black, makes me want to swap out my all black on black.

this isnt it exactly but im new here and having issues uploading my pics. its plays fine i was just worried because of the severe angle it makes. also kind of worried the string is making contact in the saddle whole as well as where its supposed to on top. similar look to the pic tho. its about half way down the page, only side pic of a bridge on there, sorry links were workin right.

Well if we're talking about the same picture, your guitar is perfectly fine. No issues here.
