How do you like the slanted bridge pup on that reversed one?

Actually, it's more than just slanted, all the pickups are staggered leftys (so it is a mirror of the Hendrix Strats). It's different: not better or worse. I haven't had it long enough to describe yet, but I like it.

I know that, but was curious if the low e-string was overpowering the higher
strings (with "twang") being closer to the bridge using just the bridge pup.

I'd say it's more noticeable, but not overpowering. But that's just my opinion.

I recently bought a NOS `10 Strat in Lake Placid Blue and I go to that guitar first. It has an MX serial number and I was wondering when they started using the X in it. The pups are suppose to be single coils but when you take your hand off the strings I don`t get any hum like you normally would. Even the salesman thought it was odd that I don`t get a hum and I tried it out in a different house and it was still noiseless. Anyone have any idea what pups they used in the `10 Strats ?

Recently bought two 2006 Mexistrats to go with my 2004 50th aniv. Amer. Std. Ones Midnight blue, the other Midnight wine. Found them in a pawn shop, they wanted 350.00 a peice for them. I offered 400.00 for the pair and they went for it! Gonna put Texas Specials in the blue one and the EMG Gilmour setup in the burgandy one. 8)

Here's a shot of my latest accusation, a Black Top, which I further tricked-out with black components for the output jack, Sperzel turners, the whole nine.

Here is my newest guitar, it is a hecho en Mexico '50s Classic Stratocaster in Daphne Blue. It has a very shallow V neck (my Tele has a much more prominent V neck) and vintage frets. I think it has Alinco pickups.

Here's my other HSS Mexistrat in Lake Placid Blue. It's a 2009 model. Great guitar.

My #1 is a 2001 Classic Series 70's Strat 3 tone sunburst with rosewood fretboard. She has a gold anodized pickguard with aged white pickup covers and tone knobs and rear cover with Fender stamped saddles and Custom Shop 69 pickups with Rs Guitarworks vintage strat upgrade kit.

Her sister is a not a Strat but still a MIM-black 2010 72 Deluxe RI, which is stock right now, but soon will be fitted with a set of Lollar Regal Pickups and of course an upgrade kit from RS Guitarworks.

That's a beautiful color. One of the guys who plays guitar with me at church has an S/S/S Strat in that color (also with a maple neck).

Thanks. It looks way better in person than it does in my photo. The color looks different depending on how the light hits it. It's also metallic. I've always wanted a LPB guitar, and when I saw this one and I saw how good of shape it was in, I had to have it. And I got a fair deal on it too.

I have MIM Chris Rea Signature
-Made in 1999, for European market only.
-21 frets, vintage style.
-Rosewood with 7.25 radius.
-Poplar body.
-Classic strat controls, with 5 positions.
-Color is "faded" Fiesta red called Salmon pink.
-Aged plastic parts.
-Vintage tuner (kluson.) and vintage bridge .

Fender made these guitars about 500 in 1999. These guitars were sold only for European markets. Guitar is a copy of Chris Reas Stratocaster, called "Pinky". Each guitar came with video, slide, gigbag and few stickers.

Mods:
- Refretted with Dunlop 6100
- Seymour Duncan Texas Hot Antiquity pickups

I was just looking at some of the models and this one is really a fine looking Strat
and Chris Rea is a great blues player that somehow flies under the radar.
Awesome Strat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a 1997 Tex Mex Special I can find virtually no mention of them on the net. I bought it new in 2001. It had been ignored for 3+ years in the shop.
