You're not gonna believe this, but I only paid $450.00 with a used hard case. Man I've bought $3,000.00 plus Jacksons, Washburns, Caparisons, ect. over the years and this axe has a tone (with the Seymour Duncan) that none of those axes could touch! Oh yeah, the pickup cost about $80.00 not installed, but I do that myself anyways and complete setups. Better look out because I'm gonna buy at least a couple more of them and set them all up differently with different paint schemes as well and I already have a line on the next one (there were only 891 made so trying to find one is a real pain in the $@!)...

Just put a layaway down on a CP 50's (with a 60th Anniversary decal on the headstock?) last night; it's the 2-Tone / Tobacco Sunburst w/ aged knobs, etc. I ordered a black pickguard and I have a set of EMG SAs (ivory) w/ EGX and SPC pots which I will be loading into it. I'll get some pics up this weekend, maybe.

up to 2006 i never owned a strat that wasnt made
in the USA. theres one thing i have learned since my
2006 purchase of my MIM strat it doesnt have to be
made in the USA to be great.

This is my first post after reading and learning for a while already.

I am an American working and living in Beijing, China. I have just recently picked up guitar playing after over 20 years of non-playing. I am a Strat lover and seem to only prefer Strat.

I now own 3 MiM:

Standard HSS, 013-4700, rosewood fretboard, Sunburst
Standard SSS, 013-4600, rosewood fretboard, Sunburst
70's SSS, natural, ash body, maple neck

It's an MZ7 serial number, so I guess it's a 2007 or 2008. I got it brand new a week ago, but you never know for how long they've been sitting at the dealer.
