Richie88,

The Daphne you have looks like it may have had some mods. Or, it could be a Tex Mex strat, instead of a Classic 50s. They were similar, but the Tex-Mex was only made for two years, 1995 and 96. It was the precusor to the JV Tex Mex strat. It came standard with the 3ply pick guard and Tex Mex pickups. Here's mine:

It is also the subject of several posts here. They helped me ID mine.
(Sorry, but I just love posting pictures of this guitar.)

I just bought a MIM Strat,White with a Maple neck.

I am changing all the hardware to Gold, and I am changing the electrics for
better quality stuff.

Pickups will be Bareknuckle Custom 60's.

It feels just as nice as my USA Strat, hope it sounds as good

when I've finished.

Alan

Have any of you guys put Graph Tech TUSQ XL nut on your MIM strat?
What's your impression about it?

That's my MIM in my left hand it's still stock. I like the Hummer though, but the single coils have got to go. It's in a Seinna Sunburst kind-of color. I'll put up pic's after the few mods I have in store.

My MIM Strat is a '94, one of the first years they were made if I am not mistaken, and with USA parts. Black w/ white pickguard, rosewood fretboard, no mods except I went backless, 5 trem springs and no whammy. Not really hard-tailed, if I put in the bar I can dive like an Olympic champ, but I stay in tune no matter how bendy I get with the left hand. I beat on this thing and it takes it ! It weighs a ton but the body resonates almost like an acoustic. I will fight to the death for her. To round out my whole "I'm cheap but I love my tone" thing, I have a 90's Frontman 25R I got off ebay and a Boss Super Overdrive, it gives me all the love I need.

Mine is a 2006 MIM fat strat in a nice blue metal flake
color really pops under the sunlight or bright lighting.
just had the factory single coil pups changed out for Bill Lawrence L200's.
Had strap locks added as well.
had it professionally set up and it plays great.

Mine is a 2010 arctic white with maple neck HSS "Fat-Strat." I'm new and IT'S new so I just went with what I could afford, what felt good and what I thought looked HOT! The "Blonde" look of this baby and her curves just turns me on! :P There are some beauties up above, posted

I have a 2004 70's Reissue Strat in white!

I love it. I put in Custom Shop 69's and it sounds amazing. I have the maple fretboard which I love too. I got it for $550 used. Best $550 guitar out there as far as I'm concerned.

Something rattles ( I think behind the neck plate....) but I think its part of the Micro neck adjust system....

Can someone explain that system to me?

Thanks!

Seymour Duncan's installed (Alinco II Pros in Neck/Milddle, P-Rails in bridge). The stock neck and middle PU's were weak as a dead dog. More up grades to follow.

Hello there!

Here's 2 pictures of my 1993 MIM Strat I took almost 2 years ago. At that time I had already owned it for a year so I've had her 3 years now. Still look stunning for an 18 year old guitar!

I own a 1996 MIM Stratocaster in cream and rosewood neck. It is the greatest guitar i have ever played (I've played £700 guitars before and they come no where near and I got it for £235) and the neck feels chunky but nice to play and suprisingly, all the electronics are still excellent :D.
I'm sure this guitar is going to take me places !!!
