I have a 2000 white Powerhouse Strat, all stock (poor man's EC). It's aging nicely. Love the mid boost, maple neck and quiet pups.

I don't know much about my MIM Strat excepting the S/N MZ0101647, it's a white body with red and black "mother of toilet seat" pickguard. Oh yes also. When you set the toggle at Bridge+1 and pile on the reverb ... well it ain't heaven ... but you can see it from there. She's pretty solid except I get noise on the bridge and neck settings. Shes all stock. What mods do you knowledgable folks reckon I should make. I've swapped out pups and $@!& before so I'm not scared to get "elbows deep". Got my soldering gun and paypal account at the ready. Please advize. Advize? Is that right? Advise? Advice? I don't know. Tell me what to do!!!

Here's my MIM Midnight Blue from '98-'99 (along with the others in the stable). I'm the original owner and it's still stock. Upgrading pickups soon though!

Here's a better picture showing the midnight blue's true purple-ness

Just registered on this forum a couple days ago. Thought this was a cool thread so I figured I'd make my first post here.....

I have all kinds of guitars. Les Paul, ES-335, Strats, a Tele, a Firebird, a Resonator, acoustics......but if you told me I was playing the biggest gig of my life and had to use only one guitar, it would be a Strat.

I've owned probably 10 or 12 Fenders over the years but at this moment, I own 4 Strats, 3 of them are MIM. One is a '99 Standard in Midnight Wine Red with a maple fretboard modded with Vintage Noiseless pickups. I also have a Road Worn '50's Strat in Sunburst and I just LOVE the feel of the V-shaped neck. It's got my hooked on '50's style Strats. I recently replaced the pickups with Seymour Duncan Antiquity I's. And my other MIM Strat is a Classic Player 50's Strat in Sunburst. Only thing I don't like about it is the "custom switching". I prefer normal or vintage or whatever you wanna call it. Both '50's style Strats obviously have maple fretboards. I also have an American Standard in black with maple board but I'm planning on trading it in for an American Vintage '57 Reissue.

At one time or another, I owned a Sunburst Standard with rosewood fretboard, a black Standard with a rosewood fretboard, a Deluxe Fat Strat in white with rosewood fretboard, a Classic Series '70's Strat in sunburst with maple fretboard, a Standard Fat Strat in black with rosewood fretboard, a Squier in sunburst with maple fretboard, and an American Special Strat in sunburst but I no longer own any of those. There's probably more I'm forgetting.

2001 Standard in agave blue with white pick guard and rosewood fret board
2004 Standard in black with parchment mother of pearl pick guard and rosewood fret board.

Got them for 300 each the black one had a couple of minor dings but nothing much and the agave blue is mint.
love them both and both have their own distinctive sound.

Hey all,

I just got a great deal on a beautiful '96 MIM in Sunburst/rosewood (thank you Craigslist). I kinda had my heart set on a green or blue sparkle finish, but this deal was too good to pass up and the guitar looks classic (I have nothing against sunbusts). More importantly, it sounds and plays superbly. Holds its tune well too...I usually struggle with vibrato-equipped guitars in that regard.

Viva la guitarra!

Here's my 2003 MIM FSR from the other thread. It has Texas Specials and the best neck I've ever had on a strat - the maple is nicely figured on the headstock with flames all up and down it. I've got a big brass trem block on the way for it to replace the cheap zinc one.

I just bought a 2010 mim fat strat; I'm just learning to play. Did I make a good choice?

You can hear it with G-DEC from here http://maihinnousu.net/s/11943

I just saw this post and well...here they are...

The first is a 2004 50th Anniversary Golden Strat...nice V neck, with Texas Specials.

The Second one is a recent buy...60's Classic that I blocked the trem on and added Texas Specials...

Cool, can't believe I haven't seen this before! I have a 2010 MIM strat, in candy apple red, my favourite Fender colour, saved up for ages to get it, and I love it.

Any excuse for a pic of it :) some great guitars here 8)

Welcome to the Forum...and yes an excellent choice :!:

There is a lot to learn on the forum and a bunch of great folks with a huge knowledge about Fender products from Leos first amps to present.

Again Welcome.
