Hadn't tried them but still no luck on the left hand tuners, (only the vintage types).

Thanks anyway.

M_G It's not so much recommending as it is to the E-Bay problem.

You need to know what the shaft size of those tuners are so that you can be certain they will fit with or without reaming out the tuner holes on the neck.

As you stated you want direct drop in's, you need to know those dimensions.
Furthermore I think the price is almost equal to a suppliers price, don't forget shipping and if you have a problem, that makes it even more expensive.

When parts are concerned that are critical as to fit and size I prefer to order from a direct supplier who knows the required fitting or reworking if need be.

Try also these suppliers.

www.lmii.com

If you run into more questions, there are plenty of knowledgable people like
Ceri, nikininja on these posts.
If unsure don't hesitate to ask

Good Luck

Thanks alot for the help and advice it's appreciated :)

I've actually spoken about this problem with a couple of people on here about a month back and am still stuck in the same position (though they were very helpful and provided me with alot of options, all of which have been unsuccessful though :()

The hole on my headstock is 10mm, i've asked this ebay seller and they've said the machineheads are also 10mm. Still not sure whether to go ahead and buy them.

This guitar has given me so many problems over the year and a half i've had it :( Mainly due to unlucky circumstances to be honest.

First of all I apologize for the fact that there is a Telecaster in my photo, but since they were both bought at the same time they have be inseparable and if I show one with out the other it causes trouble at the home front for me.
My Stratocaster is a 2006 (with headstock button) M.I.M Classic 70’s with no mod’s and the Telecaster is a 2006 (with headstock button) M.I.M. Nashville Deluxe with also no mod’s.Both are also Ash body's 8)

Since there is 42 pages on here for the M.I.M.'s now I just had to post mine also. They both are great guitar's and I am glad I got them before the price hike !
I can Believe how much you have to pay for the new ones now.

Great post. My MIM Strat is a 2010 sunburst with a maple neck. I have not been playing for very long at all, 3 months to be precise but after playing with several guitars in the local Music Store it just felt the most comfortable. I tried American made Strats, Ibanez and the Epiphone LP and just liked the MIM version the most. Plus for the price you really cant beat the MIM.

I have a Mustang II for a practice amplifier and love playing around with the presets.

Hello everyone,

Its funny but i bought a Fender Strat without knowledge how to play acoustic or electric guitar... I just wanted one becuase i see all my friends who play in the Church youth musuc play... and i know i want to learn how to play guitar.

I bought my guitar of eBAY... yeah, not exactly recommended since i am getting a used FENDER and i really dont know if what i am getting is good value or not. Anyway long story short.

- 2006 Fender Fat Strat Sunburst MiM with 2008 Maple Neck and Rosewood fretboard.
- 2 black single-coil pickups (mid and neck) and white humbucker (bridge).
- White pickguard, and black volume, tone. 5-way selector knobs (whammy bar was not included).

Mods:
- I have two new Fender pickguards (black white black) and White Pearloid... but now i am using the White Pearloid. NICE!!!
- Change the humbucker to Seymour Duncan JB tb-4 trembucker (bridge)
- once i get the Seymour Duncan STK Custom ssl-5 i will change the mid and neck pickups
- Dunlop Strap locks

What else did i miss? Oh yeah this is not part of Fender Strat MiM topic, but i also upgraded the 10" speaker of my Fender Frontman 25r to Eminence Patriot Ragin Cajun... I'm Stoked!!![/img]
