Again, Thanks for the link.. I called them today, They're only over in Scottsdale, it wasn't even a toll call, It took the guy Three minutes and he told me Yes, its a Roadhouse model built in Nov.2007 It is in Olympic White with Texas specials, It did have the tortiseshell pickguard, But evidently the last owner changed it to a Plain White one. It made me wonder getting it at Guitar Center and I paid $399. also anyone needing any information the Fender rep was very helpful 8)

50s Road Worn Strat - VERY fun to play. I love the looks, the feel/vibe and I actually like the sound of the stock pups. I'm not worried about the relic job not looking natural to some members of this forum. She looks more road worn and experienced than I could make her!

Highway One Strat - I have the Daphne blue H/S/S model. I play hard rock/metal mostly and this geet fits the bill. Everything seems spot on with this one. Very capable of multiple music types. She can go from sweet to b---h quick!

50th Anniversary Strat - I love the looks of this guitar very much from the aluminum pick guard to the gold hardware to the tint of the neck. Especially the neck tint. Now I am not a fan of the small frets and the pickups don't cut it for me. This guitar would work for most I believe. She is going to get large frets and Fralin pups in the near future. The 50th is a very good guitar, that's why I bought her, she just needs a little modding.

First post! Whoo.

Bought a Mexican standard in '09, Arctic White with Rosewood fretboard.

White stock pickguard swapped out for tortoiseshell (back plate still white).

Modding still to be done:

Texas Special pickups
Grover Tuning Keys
GraphTech String Saver bridge saddles
Push-Pull pot on Tone 2 knob for 7-sound mod
Tone 2 wired to bridge pickup
New fretboard from customluthier.com - modern vine inlay on rosewood
Shielded / grounded electronics

All said and done, less than 800 bucks for a beautiful guitar that'll sound awesome.

*lol* This is me and my slightly modified Fender Stratocaster 70's Re-Issue with maple fretboard and that ol' style headstock (nice 1!!!).

At this pick you see that the pickups and pickguard is changed. This is the once that is on my guitar now: A EMG DG20 (David Gilmour sign.) pickup system. I also resently added a Super-Vee lock and tremolo system on it, and I can tell you that that wasn't the easiest thing to do. It all went wrong with the bullet truss-rod thingie.. But we somehow manage to "get it on there", and now it's on and working. -I'll add a newer pic. of the guitar with the Super-Vee mounted.

And for the record: I just love this guitar!!!! It is realy nice to play. 7.25 radius and the whole shebang!!! :) *lol*

Nice! My old '91 MIM has a 7.25" radius board too and love it with the vintage frets!
