Well, I guess I'll put mine here as well.

I got it last year, it was stamped July 11, 1994 on the back of the pick guard. It has Graphtech Saddles and Nut (Supercharger Kit), Lace Sensor Hot Golds, and the ToneShaper SSS-1 Switching System. It is my "go to" guitar for everything.

I recently found a great deal on ebay for my granddaughter's first guitar. She's been lugging around a cello in band class for two years now, so I thought she deserved something with a little more "pazass". I'm hoping it will keep my tired butt practicing harder as we learn to play these great instruments together. Mine is the last photo in the bunch. I took a better part of today cleaning "Ol Blue" up with a fresh set of Ernie Ball Super Slinky's and I checked out the wiring and gave the pots a squirt. set the intonation and man was I ever surprised at the sustain this thing has. It really sounds great. I hope she "likie"....she asked for a blue one. lol Oh and I found a seriously heavy duty Fender case for a little over a hundred bucks. Great case...latches are kid (adult) proof and the lock works great..Fender embossed outer logo doesn't hurt either. Got mine here...

All in all I am very impressed with this fine Fender product. Feels good (only the fret ends are a little sharp) but it feels right other then that and it sounds darn good thru my Line6 Spider II. If and when I ever master that darn Tele....I think I see a MIM Strat in my future. Such a deal for $250 bucks. Enjoy the pics....be talkin' with you all later.

Oh and BTW, I bought her a great little practice amp as well. This little sucker will seriously fill a room...well built and super sturdy too!

I hope no one minds if i belong to both the MIA Strat owners club and the MIM Strat owners club because i own both and love them equally...

But my main stage and travel guitar is my 2008 MIM H.S.S Standard that i have done a lot of custom work to...I would post a picture but i still cannot figure out how to do it on this forum..

It is a Olympic White with maple neck and here is the list of what i have done to it...Fender locking tuners ,Silver solder and upgraded Fender pots,Rolled neck edge.Hand blocked the finish off the back of the neck and sanded to a mirror slick finish,Fret job,Bone nut,Graph tech saddles,Cut and shortened tremolo arm,Installed a Pearly Gate in the Bridge position and two John Suhr V60's in the neck and mid..

This is one fine Mexi made...

It was a really good guitar to start with now it is a top shelf player..

It didn't need this work to be done to have it be a quality guitar but i felt that these touches could only enhance the guitar to what it deserved..

With all the work that i have done to it and had my luthier do i still have about $300 dollars less into it than what a MIA Standard would have cost me..

I also own a 73 Standard a 90 Strat ultra and a 2000 67 re issue or i think thats what it is but not sure...

Tone is subjective and each one of the 4 starts have different tone so i wont go there..

Other than to say that my MIM sounds equal to all of them as far as tone quality goes..

I will say that my MIM plays better than two of the MIA Strats and almost equal to my 73 and when this MIM has 40 years worth of playing i'm sure it will be equal to the 73 for playing quality..

So i hope i qualify....

I recently bought a used MIM strat and the seller told me it was a Roadhouse (a salesman at guitar center) but it has a white pickguard, not the tortiseshell like i've seen them with. It does have the tinted neck with a maple fretboard, and it has Gototh tuners on it and I think they were not originally on there because there is other screw holes (these tuners are one screw the others were not). I think it's a 2007-2008 because of the serial number ; MZ71162976. I really like the Guitar but would like to know if it's a Roadhouse or just a standard. If anyone can figure it out with this information I would greatly appreciate it. I don't have a dig.cam so I can't post a pic.... Thanks 8)

Marvin, just write to consumer relations and describe the instrument a little and give then the serial number. You'll get a reply with all the info about your particular guitar.
