i just bought an amazing lonestar stratocaster. It is black with a totiese shell pickguard. It has a rosewood fretboard and a tinted maple neck, ever so gorgeous. The guitar has a seymour duncan pearly gates humbucker and two texas special pickups, it is one tone king. Now i just need to shield it...

Consider me the newest member, just got my '98 MIM yesterday. I'm just hoping I accumulate enough money this Christmas to buy an amp. I have a feeling strats sound best plugged in. haha.

Welome AlisterD, choose your amp wisely. I am sure you will considering you went with a Strat. ;-)

I have a 2005 (according to the serial number MZ5XXXXXX) Made In Mexico Stratocaster. Black body (naturally), maple neck, head stock, and fret board. It says Deluxe Series on the head stock.

By turning to 10 on the #2 Tone knob I reach a detent so that's telling me I have "Delta-Tone" which is high output bridge pickup and "no load" tone control for the middle and bridge pups.

It also has Active Electronics... 9v battery in the back.

I haven't seen any others quite like it here. Seems there's all kinds but nobody showing up with a MIM Deluxe Series.

Anybody else have one like it? I am really starting to enjoy this guitar the more I learn to play it. Just wish I knew more about it.

Thanks,
Ron 8)

That is a sweet one and I haven't seen one with those features. Enjoy it and play on!

Thanks, man. It was 45 degrees cooler when I was taking guitar pics on my patio this time. The Oly White Jimmie Vaughan doesn't need sun screen in December.

Hey!
I have a MiM strat too, fender 60th anniversary special edition
Candy apple red with black board, I haven't changed anything to the guitar.
It's my first electric guitar and I’m learning to play by my self, I still have a long way to go... XD

I just bought a used roadhouse strat, White with a tinted maple fretboard. I like it a lot, I paid $399.for it at guitar center. I think the texas special pickups hum a little too much, I'll change them out soon, I'm looking at lindy fralin split blade strat humbuckers. They sound pretty nice on their website. I'm plugging into a frontman65R. I bought the amp new, I think it was definately worth the $179. I paid. I just would like to find a moderetly priced set of pickups to gut rid of the buzz.
