i own a 2006 MIM standard strat that has been
hot rodded (new pickups) the craftmanship on this guitar
is brilliant and with the new duncan PU's i would have to say
it is just as good as most MIA strats.
i read a few years ago that david gilmore has a few MIM's
standard strats in his colletion that he has hot rodded and
he enjoys playing them. if there good enough for him there
good enough for me.

I own a 2008 Classic Players 60 strat in sonic blue. Mine is a little unusual in that it came from the factory with a 9.5 radius.

Its a really sweet guitar and I chose it over the Am standard.

I have a 2004 MIM Standard Strat in that old light blue color they discontinued. It has a maple neck. I replaced the pickguard to one with a picture of a nebula on it, replaced the plastic parts with black parts to match the pickguard, added black Gibson speed knobs and replaced the stock pickups with Fender Vintage Noiseless Strat pickups. The next (and last) modification is going to be replacing the .10's on it with .12's.

As a '99 Powerhouse (LPB w/ maple) owner, I share your sorrow. Definately one of the best Fender guitars offered at a budget price. Guitar players that have heard mine have gone out and bought their own just based on checking mine out. If that isn't testiment to the Powerhouse, I don't know what is...

Proud owner of a 1995 Fender Squier Series Strat. Picked it up from Craigslist for a whopping $25. Only thing I had to replace were the tone pots. I swapped the single ply guard for a w/b/w one and put a GFS big block bridge on. This is one that I'll never get rid of! Here it is as I bought it.

finally bought myself a MIM strat just a few months ago.

Not sure what year it is, perhaps 2007. Serial number MZ6158079.

I chose it ove an american strat which i was looking at as well, but the MIM just seemed to suit me better. Its hard to explain, but you all know what i mean, when you just know a guitar feels right!

2008 MIM Red Strat from the wife for Christmas. HSS. Keeping it all stock for now. I've had this in my hands every day since then.

I have 2. A 1994 Lake Placid blue, all stock, and a 2000, black, which I am putting a humbucker in the bridge position, possibly in the neck position too.

The black one had a MIJ neck on it for a while, due to a broken truss rod, but I repaired it. I paid $169 for it used, but in mint condition.

I have a 1999 MIM Stratocaster autographed by Lenny Kravitz ... it was on the plastic film cover over the pick guard, so the sig is long gone. I think it is Electron Blue but looks sort of purple in some lights. It has vintage Fender saddles but i replaced the bridge pickup with a DiMarzio Fast Track DP181.
