Ive got a MIM Lonestar Strat, in sunburst - Not sure what year it is. I bought it just after my little boy was born in february this year. Loved the tone and the quality is awesome. Ive never tried a MIA strat so i cant compare but i do love my MIM.

Mine is white with a black pickguard. I have the backplate off of it, and it has a rosewood fretboard. I'm stepping up and buying a Mustang reissue soon, and an American made Strat standard. I may mod this one out later on though!

Mmm.. Just another question. Do you use standard tunning with those 11's? Can I use it with the 10's?

Make sure to get it set up correctly when you get thes 0.10 gauge strings on it. there's lots of info on the web about guitar set up. Or just take it in to the local tech guys to do it.

I'm coming form my friend's house, the one who said I should not use a set of 0.010-0.46 gauge on my MIM Strat. He says you all are crazy (LOL), and that any guitar should use 0.010 strings with standard tuning. He says I'll probably break the neck of my guitar, or at least cause serious damage to it. Now I don't know what to do, he he he... He knows a lot of stuff about guitar set up and electronics. Should I use the 0.010 anyway?

seems to me like he dosnt know $@!& about what he is talking about,
97% of all guitar players plays with 010 strings and 90% of all those play in standard tuning...
(numbers may not be correct)

i play with 11's on my strat in standard tuning never had a single problem with the neck!..

if you have a floating bridge you may want to tighten the two screws back in the tremolo cavity....

It's a '98 Standard Strat, with it's stock Vintage Style Synchronized Tremolo... I only replaced the tuning machines for a set of bautiful Fender Schaller Locking TM...

Then you will probalry notice that the bridge raises when you put on heavier strings dont be afraid just take of the back plate and tighten the two big screws evenly until the bridge is as flat as it was....
