I am proud owner of a MIM Classic Player 60 in sonic blue since last Thursday last week. My new baby!
The sounds of the 69's pu's are really good.

I'm enjoy to play here.

Cheers :D

my first guitar and the body style is very close to
the same. does anyone else agree

Proud owner of a 2007 arctic white with maple fb MIM strat here. I love it. It's real easy to play and it's light as a feather compared to my Epi LP Classic, which I also love. I never knew such sounds could come from a guitar. Set up was great right out of the box. Haven't had to do a single thing to it, except change strings.

i have the artic white 2006
man sometimes i would like to buy 20 more
and hot rod them. quality on these guitars is awesome
and the craftmansship is very very good

Paperwork says I have a 98' MIM, Midnight Blue, RW/Maple, Vintage Sync Trem/Bridge/Frets, Standard Series.

What I believe I have is a HRR 60's (25-1000), at least that's what the neck pocket markings indicate. I'm working on Pics....to make it legit.

Paisley Strat if you're reading, I think what you have is the HRR 50's (25-1002) in Crimson Burst Fotoflame (1990-95).

The only MIM I ever owned was a Polka-Dot Buddy Guy. The guitar is built on pretty generic platform with a V-neck. I would guess that the JV is derived from the same platform as well. I was pleased with the way the BG played.

I have auditioned the MIM 'Standard' at GC. I have found the satin finished neck quite playable and feel, with the right fit and finish, you can have yourself a really fine guitar for around 4 bills.

Of course, what has been discussed in these pages about their assembly goes with the price but who know that out in the audience. To the uninitiated out there, a maple necked, black finish, with white pup covers and guard is Eric Clapton's.

If that's the look one wants, it's an easy way to go.

Doc.
