I have just replaced my stolen J. Vaughan with an exact duplicate. There are certain upgrades that I added to that first J.V. and I plan to start with a few less expensive ones. Does anyone know how much the bridge block weighs? (just the block). G.F.S has a brass block that fits and weighs 10.6 oz. I will probably wind up weighing the stock block myself., But before that, I am asking all of you first. I learned that when the finish on the Fender block is sanded off, that stock block will promote a better 'ring'. On my last J.V. I installed a complete Callaham bridge assembly with Sperzals on the peg head and the acoustic ring of that guitar really shocked me. I could not believe that an electric not plugged in could compete with guitars valued @ $5000.00+.

I don't know the answer. I feel it is great you got another JV Strat. I love the original ones which first came out. They are incredible. I'm sorry some low life made off with your JV. I'm sure you'll have it set up the way you want pretty soon.
