Hello to everyone and I'm sorry for my english.
I hope that this is the correct section.
I've got a squier stratocaster VM 70 with maple neck. I bougth this guitar just last year (2015) on june, but from only one month untill now, I realized that they were formed some dark streaks on the maple neck. Please see the attached picture.
Is there anyone that is able to tell me what these darks streakes represent and how they were formed.
Is it normal or should I worry?
What could be the cause? Humidity, finger sweat? What do you think?
Is this a maple neck defect? or is it normal?[/size]
I ask this question because the guitar is still under warranty.

Thank you very much.

i was able to navigate to your image with the red arrows. depending on the quality of the curing process and the finish, the wood can age quickly. being an MIC Squire, i would say in all likelyhood it is some wood grain feature related to any number of things (sap, mineral deposits, knots, density variation) that have been chemically changing by interaction with your environment (sweat chemistry, UV, aerosol components of the air in your vicinity from ocean, vulcanism, fossil fuel burning, et cetera). long story short, the wood is aging and becoming unique - albeit temporarily rapidly.
i personally love every imperfection nature imparts on my strats - stains, cracks, paint wear, rust and all - so long as it plays and sounds how i like it.
to be on the safe side, since it's under warranty, you may want to get a neck replacement as a backup, just in case im wrong and the neck starts warping. but the dealer may insist you go to fender for that, since they may not be empathetic for an aesthetic issue.
keep an eye out for cracks or the neck bow by looking down from the headstock to be safe, but i suspect it's just gaining character; and it's probably going to change more in a few months than the next 10 years, since it's just doing a quick adjust to its new environment.
enjoy!
