As mentioned thrust rod should be first, that being said, necks react differently to adjustment, some react immediately, some you need to wait for a while, that's why I said play it for a while than recheck everything. Cause over night neck could strike back and you get less relief, or it could give into the tension of the strings and relief could be bigger than you have set it. Remember we're talking about around 0.010 of an inch and wood.
