I've had another look at the pictures and think you would be better keeping it. It is a nice looking guitar with personal historical value. It reminds me of my Aria Pro II which I bought instead of a Start when they first came out. A very fair guitar (I obviously liked it more than a Strat at the time) and now they are selling for a just few hundred quid. If The Boom Town Rats and others had become mega stars and continued to use Arias it might have been worth a small fortune by now.

I have an acoustic, which is a complete dog to play and probably cost next to nothing when new. But the fretboard is marked worn and knackered through my own personal blood, sweat and tears. It is unlikely I will ever play it again but I'm not selling it because of what we have been through together.

Keep it.

The guitar is in pretty nice shape and works to your liking.
I would keep it, especially if I had held onto it like you for 25Years.
Perhaps give it to a young relative that aspires to learn/play.
The value whatever it may be, will probably be less than you paid for it.
The link that I provided earlier would be a good place to inquire about value or pick up a new copy of the "blue book of guitars" from a local book store.

Some guy named Waters?
He always seemed to invite the bloke to his gigs.
Never quite figured that one out, myself.
They must be personal friends based on something other than music, I would imagine.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Could anybody tell what model this 1994/1995 Made in Japan Stratocaster is? A standard or maybe 50s Reissue?

Please find the pictures at the link below:

Looks like a Japanese Standard Strat to me. Definitely not reissue because it has transition logo instead of Spaghetti.
