what´s your opinion...should i change it or not?

The responses are various, some emotional, and all touch on relative aspects of guitar ownership. The central issue which concerns you, and affects all of us suffering from Guitar Acquisition Syndrome, is that of 'trade-in' value.

Unless your instrument possesses seriously collectibility, you will never see serious money out of it on a trade-in...and....if what you presently own possesses characteristics particular to itself, you'll never duplicate it.

Out there you are going to find testimony in support of what I write because many of us have let something go which, in retrospect, we should have kept.

We often say that 'you can never have too many guitars.' For many, that is not possible. Keep what you already love as a time-tested investment and save your pennies. There's another Stratocaster in your future, and this one as well.

Doc.

[quote="nikininja"]i feel the same way about my MIM. when i got married in 95 my wife made me sell all my guitars/amps/effects to pay for the wedding.

Take serious note of this for future reference. Being arm wrestled into sacrificing something you truly love speaks tomes about the individual doing the twisting.

Run!!!!!!!!!!

First at all thanks everybody for their answer. Your words really touch me. Thanks "Doc" for your words. It´s true what you say, if you buy a guitar for their value in the future, you will never enjoy playing the guitar. You will run a race that you never win.
This guitar may have some "collectibility" in the future (for being a short live model), but i´m talking from here to ten or fiften years to come (what a short time...hahahaha). But thats not the key on this topic i think. until this time i played a lot of guitars (some pretty goods others just ok), i spend a lot of money (why?) in those guitars (better mics, cases, bridge, pickguard, etc.). after all that i discover one think...DON´T WASTE MONEY!...hahaha. But find this guitar just for luck one evening change my mind. The only thing that you need is being happy when you play your guitar. If when you play the guitar thinks "wow!" and you make some "faces" when you play the guitar...you are in the right way!.
if you got that link with your guitar...there is no other word to say. just play. i feel that with my guitar.
like Doc say : "There's another Stratocaster in your future, and this one as well."

thanks for your words doc and to all. my next quest will be find my tone. and i think this will be a hard quest.
