Hello everyone
Today I bought a guitar. Apparently, this is a Fender Stratocaster 1988 year. Decal looks ok, but I suspect that on the inside of the body guitars no Fender factory seals! On the inside of the neck are markings I've never seen before. I enclose a few pictures. Can you assess the authenticity, please? Is this authentic Standard Stratocaster from 1988, or is this fake? Thanx! Best Regards!

Looks legit to me.
The pearloid pickguard is probably a mod.
That color, I'm guessing #74, "Aqua Marine Metallic" - which would suite the timeline.
Check under the pickguard; it probably has a swimming pool routing, but there's also a (slight) possibility it's a HSH.

(The "Uribe" stamp is usually "J.Uribe"; according to some web sources the "J" is for Juan, and he later worked in the Custom Shop. I can't verify either of these.)

PS: Has anyone seen fake Micro-Tilt™ guitars?

Thanx jmattis
I primarily interested as there are no seals on the body of the guitar. Also, I see a purple color on the side, next to the blue. And the neck of the guitar, I see a sign "RAIDERS", and some sort of helmet that is drawn next. I've never seen that with Fender guitar's. All this confuses me. Regards

Well, it wouldn't be completely unheard of for Fender to generate some special versions for sports teams, but a Raiders guitar would surely be silver and black. My guess is that it's simply a previous owner who used a sticker as a very thin shim, getting a smidgeon of cushioning between the neck pocket and neck.

I must say that quite badly speak English. Sorry about that. For this communication, I usually use google translator. Especially do not understand you at all slang dictionary, because my knowledge of English is reduced to the basic concepts. Therefore, please be simpler and clearer in your expression. Thank You.

The guitar appears to be put together from genuine Fender parts.
The body looks to be refinished. The paint job is an overspray mess in the neck pocket.
It would be interesting to see pictures from under the pickguard.

The neck looks good. The date looks to me as Nov 16 1988.
The "Raider" is a Los Angeles, California football team helmet. Probably not used as a shim, its just a stamp instead of some ones initials...
If I recall, they were a decent team back in 1988. He was probably just a fan and they needed one more win to get to the play-offs.

Remove the pickguard and post a few more pictures of the body cavity and the backside of the pickguard for better analysis of the wiring please.

I looked it up - the 1988 Raiders weren't a very good team; they finished 7-9 and missed the playoffs. But 3 days before the date on the neck they knocked off the eventual Super Bowl Champ San Francisco 49ers. Whomever stamped the neck was probably a fan and was celebrating that victory.

Since the owner is from another country, the Raiders were mostly in Oakland, CA, but spent 13 seasons (1982-1994) in Los Angeles.

Soon I will set the images you're looking for (now in Serbia is night, and I'll take a photos of the guitar on the daylight). Thank you for your interest. Regards to all!

OK:
"Legit" means, I believe it's a real US Fender.
"A mod pickguard" means the pickguard is not original from Fender, it was bought and installed by some previous owner.
"Swimming pool" is the universal pickup routing (one big cavity in the body for all three pickups), a HSH routing (separate cavities for three pickups) can take a bridge humbucker, middle single coil, neck humbucker pickup combination.

On the body color, stratmangler is probably right; the paint on top of the Micro-Tilt™ suggests the guitar was repainted.

The neck model and body model seem to belong together, so unless taking the pickguard off brings some surprises, I'm guessing it's original and not a "Partscaster" in the strict meaning (the body and neck both Fender but originally from two different guitars).

On that Raiders sticker, I guess it's a factory worker (Raiders fan) joke (I think I've seen that "ANA" in some web pic before, but just can't remember where). Just as possible that the sticker was put there by a previous owner.

Hope that clears my opinion up, instead of messing it more

Looks legit to me as many would agree. The neck date and serial number on headstock suggested it is indeed a 1988 model. The logo is also period-correct, but that body (finish) was a work of mess. I'm sure it is genuine but if this isn't a 'repaint' by some previous owner then Fender USA did a sh!++y job. Love the 2-point pivot bridge tremolo though. How much did you pay?
