Does anyone know if there is a aftermarket white three ply pick guard for the signature SRV Stratocaster? I have the one ply white Fender pick guard but I have not put it on yet, and would like to have a three ply put on instead of the one ply that is like the squire Stratocaster. Second question would be hard to answer but I'll throw it out there. I had my SRV Stratocaster since 2003 and haven't made any adjustments on it since I bought it, but now I'm experiencing the action being too low on the guitar. And less resistance on the vibrant arm bar, could the bridge be stuck, or the neck of the guitar be out of adjustment. I will probably have to bring it into the shop. But if anyone has any suggestions about the bridge or the Springs or the fact that they will have to cut the pick guard to adjust the truss rod let me know. Thank you.

If your SRV uses an 11-screw pickguard, Fender's '62 style three-ply W/B/W pickguard (P/N 0992018000) should be a drop-on fit. If you need an 8-screw type, you may have to search the aftermarket.

As for your action now being too low, it's likely that the instrument is ready for a truss-rod adjustment.

To Arjay
The Stevie Ray Vaughan pick guard has eight holes on it. I have the white single ply aftermarket fender pick guard.
But I was just checking if anybody knew if anyone made in aftermarket a white three ply eight hole. Yes it sounds like I need a truss rod adjustment on my SRV. Thank you.

Here's one option: GuitarPartsResource
Quote:
SPG57-3W: 3-ply white pickguard for Strat® with '57 vintage or reissue 8-screw mounting hole pattern. - $16.99

On the action/trem issues, if you've managed to play for 13 years 'without any adjustments', it's high time to give the guitar a full checkup/setup.

Thanks jmattis. For the link to the parts supply for the SRV pick guard. And yes I knew it was high time for me to bring the Strat into the shop. I hate people setting up my guitars because I could never find a comfortable action. And for the last year I have dealing with arthritis in my left thumb and hand which makes playing more difficult. But I'll be bringing it into the shop. Thank you. Telstar

A good pro will set the guitar to any action you want, and adapt the rest of the settings accordingly, if needed. Spend some time finding out who in your area does good work, don't just settle for "that guy" in the nearest guitar shop.
And: don't pay, don't approve the job before you're satisfied.
