Very few people know, but there are male and female Stratocasters®
It's a well kept secret of FMIC.
So how to recognize one from the other ?

By whether the word "Strat" is preceded by either "le" or "la"?

Is it something to do with the gender of the tree it came from? Though I can't for the life of me see how they'd recognise that from wood blanks

Congratulations Fender........you finally managed to make a strat uglier than the sergio vallini one

So after all Leo's hard work ( giving the strat a bigger top horn for balance, making fretting the top frets easier by having a cutaway where it matters, putting the tuning pegs ON TOP where they should be and designing THE sexiest pickguard around ), you managed to balls basically everything up in one go ............pathetic

Can a strat be female?

A strat can be used every day of the month.
A strat will stop making noise when you stop paying attention.
A strat won't mind if you come home with another strat.

LOL That about sums it up.

I've never considered any of my Strats to be anything but blokes, where as my new acoustic is definitely female.

I rather like it. After all the moaning that a right handed Hendrix Strat should be an upside down left handed guitar (with all the issues of having the knobs in the wrong place) that looks like a great compromise to me,

I wouldn't buy one though. It goes back to "The Edge" discussion in that my only interest is including elements which might influence the tone. Looking more like an upside down guitar is just going to make you look more like a wannabe. It does have an ugly charm though.

Might be a good guitar to play Jeff Healey style.

Looks like the fugliest, badly thought out thing ever.
Either have no upper fret access or every control on the wrong side of the guitar.
Burn it
