I have a black korean made strat with a single ply 8-screw pickguard, 3-way switch. Trying to identify the year and model. There has been MUCH discrepancy. Everyone seems to think it's something different and I really could use some help.

The serial number is E1047179

Thanks!

Is it a Fender Squier? Some of them were made in Korea in the early 90's E serial numbers were used by Young Chang Fenix guitars and the first number after the E is the year.

Thanks for the reply! I really hope we can find this out....

They were Korean made. Look at the headstock and trees.

Do we have a production estimate on the years? Is it a standard? Reissue? Etc?

Thank you for helping so much already. I don't wanna sound like one of those demanding forum n00bs, but I've been looking for info for quite some time.

Thanks again
