How does one "fill" the nitro or poly area left exposed by the file.
That must be an art in itself. :D

I don't want to have to find out how to fill the poly, that's why I use the tape, so there will be no poly filed off. Keeping the file parallel, the tape will prevent the finish from being damaged. Examine after each stroke, and if you see the tape getting filed down, it's time to stop.
