It says do not open due to extreme temperatures to avoid damage to finish, this quality musical instrument must be stored at normal room temperature for 24 hours prior to opening. Do I really have to go by this I'm anxious but I don't want something to happen to it anyone with advice or what you should do? Should I follow the instructions?

You don't say where you're located.
What are the average outside temperatures like where you live?

If it's somewhere cold just follow the instructions and save yourself a lot of grief.

Scottymac, if that's your new AVRI 56' it's very, very thin nitro, the finish may check if you don't wait for it to get settled in to the temp change.

+1!

Follow the instructions explicitly.

Thanks for the timely reminder - my son has taken his Gibson LP Junior with him to school today, and he's been informed about not storing the instrument anywhere cold, or indeed taking it out of the case in a cold environment.

Congrats, it's a beauty! and nice collection! what's the verdict on the neck size? Is it just the flash or is yours more of a white blonde? mine seems to have more yellow in the blonde.

Its more of a white blonde the 56 I have. Yes I have had a lot of guitars in the past.. but was never able really to keep a lot of them for one reason or another. But these are keepers. I think if I ever get another strat it will be a custom shop. I may get a tele at some point I like the 52 so maybe that we will have to see. Thanks for the comments.
