I am not a thick neck guy either, but for some reason the thicker with the V like on my Clapton is just about perfect. I think it the comfort of the V shape that does it...I am guessing you'll like it.

I don't have big hands but find the 10/56 neck shape one of the best. It is kinda chunky but feels great. Nothing like the mid 60s reissue ... Not that I mind that shape either.
Let's see some pics when it arrives. I just love the blonde with the maple ftretboard and the vintage specs. :D

I actually like the neck. For some reason it doesn't give me the trouble like I have with the 65. The 65 gives me bad hand cramping with bar chords! This one doesn't which is a good thing.
