Nice looking guitar.

I have a mahogany Strat stained crimson red. It was my number one guitar for 3-4 years.

Thank you. I really love it! I'll bet that Crimson looks great. Got a pic?

Yeah, here's one I recently took of it with my Yngwie Strat. Although, the picture doesn't do it justice, it has a really nice finish on it. I probably should buy a new camera some day but, I end up buying guitar gear instead. :D

Those are both very nice Strats! I love that red, it looks good on that Mahogany. I can relate to picture quality. It seems that I can never get a pic that sees what I see. :)
Is the neck on that red Strat Scalloped too? I don't think I could get used to that.

No, the red Strat isn't scalloped. It has a 9.5" radius on the fretboard. It was a Factory Special Run that Fender did for Guitar Center about 6-7 years ago. It originally had a SSH pick up set on it. I changed it to a HSH for awhile and then to it's current SSS. It has the Dimarzio Injector set in it now. I've been pretty happy with them. I believe, they've been in there for a few years now.

The scalloped neck on the Yngwie Strat seemed odd at first but, I got used to it pretty quick. It's great for big bends. Lately, I've been thinking about getting another one but, it's low on my list right now. I just bought a Dave Murray Strat. :D

I think it looks great just the way it is. Maybe switch out the zebra cover to match the other two. A black pick guard looks nice only when new.

Congrats on the Dave Murray Strat! I would like to see pics of that one too. You have a nice collection going there. :)

Keep the mint green. It looks very good with 'aged white' knobs. What is the color of the knobs on your guitar? Is that 'white' or 'aged white'? Hard to tell...

Thanks for sharing.
Yep the mahogany strat was available in hss with lsr and sss with a normal nut.
Some had the S1 as well. They later were called "select" strats possibly as a precursor to the select line.
Around 2005 fender put out some great fsr strats e.g vintage player, bad boy blue , none more black and of course the mahogany. :D

Yes. That takes a little getting used to. I foget about it. The S1 sounds are nice but I don't really need them. According to the switching chart that I got with the guitar none of the positions split the humbucker, which surpises me.
