OMG! Where do I start? This is a great instrument! The fit and finish is wonderful, the set-up is just like I would do it, and it sounds incredible! With all the switching options you really can get it to sound like just about any guitar. And it's real Straty sounding when you want. I really do love it. It's everything that I was hoping for. I like the case a lot too. The N3's are quite and sound good to me as does the Shawbucker. And It's beautiful!!! I'm not that fond of mint pickguards I think a white pearloid would look really classy on it. Anyway, It's staying stock for a while. :) The vibrato wasn't adjusted right so I just decked it for now. It will probably stay there. And I love the strings, 9's, they feel really good. Any questions? :D

I have a 2006 FSR with a mahogany body. I love that guitar! I play it almost every day. It is a little heavy though.

I am sure you are going to like yours, It is very pretty.

Very sweet, although I know what you mean about the pick guard.

I'd perhaps go black as it wouldn't draw your eye from the wood as much. Black with cream plastic looks OK as the N3s can otherwise be a bit hairy to swap. It would blend out the look of the Shawbucker at treat as well.

I'm not a fan of zebra pickups, unless the idea is to draw attention to the pickup.
As for the guitar itself, it is stunning. And mahogany works great in guitars, or there wouldn't be nearly as many LPs and SGs out there :)

Thank you all for your support. I really am enjoying the guitar! I jammed with friends Friday night and it sounded so sweet in all pup positions. I really like those N3's. I had to tweek my pedal a little but no big deal. It seams that the sound I like at home never works as good with the band anyway. :) I go into a Digitech RP360XP then straight into the PA in stereo. The models in the RP sound really, really good and I don't have near as much equipment to carry! :D That's a big plus for my 60 year old body! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!

I was thinking about a white pearloid pick guard. Or maybe Tortoise? How do you think that would look? I hadn't really considered black. I will think about that. I kinda wanted something a little fancy on it. :)

This is true.
Unless you're Jimi Hendrix, you won't get to play guitar solos non-stop, but have to interface with and support the rest of the band. And what sounds good in a room without noise will sound very different on stage.
(And if you are Jimi Hendrix, health regulations will prevent you from playing.)

I'm not a great lover of pearl or tortoiseshell but of the two the latter would perhaps be the lesser of two evils ;-)

Those are some good looking Strats! I think I do like the black pickguard. It looks great on yours. :)

Nice looking guitar.

I have a mahogany Strat stained crimson red. It was my number one guitar for 3-4 years.
